David Hawkins PGA
David Hawkins started his golfing career working as assistant pro to Scott Cranfield, at Stapleford Abbots Golf Club and then at North Weald Golf Club both in Essex.
David is a member of the Professional Golfers Association Class (A) and (AA). He turned pro in 1990 and became fully qualified in 1993, moving to Wanstead Golf Club to take on the role of Head Professional in 1994.
In 2015 David served as Captain of the PGA in Essex, getting off to a flying start with a win at Woodbridge Pro Am in his first role as Captain.

Some of the best golf close to London, and club competitions throughout the year Wanstead Golf Club boasts a challenging 18 holes, set in beautiful parkland. The Club has hosted many major events in the Essex County calendar and is the home of the prestigious Armitage Cup
Visitors and Societies are welcome all day on Weekdays and on Weekend afternoons, handicap certificates are not required but a reasonable skill level is recommended. Just call the pro shop where David or one of the team will be happy to book you a tee time and run through any club rules or the dress code with you.
Wanstead has a recently refurbished its Clubhouse offering full restaurant and bar facilities for members and guests as well as offering venue hire for events or meetings it has its own calendar of social events and dinner dances.
